|This is a "Good Life" site in that the land
is chemical free for over ten years and has all the features
necessary for an energy sufficient carbon neutral building.
The land slopes west- south-west and is fully exposed to the
sun all day. The north-east boundary is just under the brow
of the hill and thus would require only a short mast to be
exposed to wind from all directions. The southerly part of
the south-east boundary is ideal for a reed bed to receive
well aerated sludge from above.
The Pollytunnel was put in
place almost ten years ago and is still covered by its
original polythene. There is a good supply of manure
available from adjacent stables
The wooden gardening shed was initially built as an
extension to a caravan. It now stands alone at the entrance
to the site and would serve as an excellent site office.
